The Canada Border Services Agency is in the process of hiring students across Canada through Federal Student Work Experience Program. If you meet these criteria you can apply for CBSA’s office trainee development program. If that application is accepted it would lead to SBSO position and you would attend CBSA college. Training and Development of a CBSA Officer

- Applicable laws, policies and procedures relating to persons and goods to and from Canada.
- Interviewing and Communication Skills.
- Examination Techniques.
- Use of Force and Physical Training Techniques.
The course will be offered online, on-site, and on-the-job for the following duration:
- 4-week online assisted training
- Four and half month’s on-site training at CBSA College in Rigaud, Quebec
- 1-on-1 paid on-the-job for half a year as an intern at one of the agency’s entry ports job development
Annual income as a trainee ranges from $69,423 to $77,302. After completing the development program, you will become a Border Patrol and receive a salary ranging from $75,100 to $89,068. Moreover, $125 per week stipend will be paid to you while in school to cover room and board and basic living expenses.
